About me
My journey has been one of incredible resilience. I grew tired of hearing everyone claim that children raised in the system or in abused homes turn out just like their parents or worse. I wish to debunk those claims. That doesn't always happen. Sometimes the people that are raised in abuse, neglect, and adversity actually turn their life into something amazing and astonishing, defying statistics. My life has been marked by immense hardship, from neglect and abuse to the tragic loss of my siblings and the challenges of single young motherhood.
A testament to resilience
Amidst the darkness, I found light – in the library, in the kindness of strangers, and ultimately, in the unwavering support of my chosen family. I found the determination to overcome adversity, a thirst for knowledge, and a bizarre capacity for forgiveness are truly inspiring. It is a bizarre life but it's filled with so many different aspects that many people face from time to time throughout life but the most puzzling to me is how many I faced in one lifetime, yet I am still here and still growing strong a majority of that is due to my faith in God!
